PLAYR-FIT UNVEILED AS NEW CHAMPIONSHIP & P.I.L. SPONSOR

The Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) is delighted to announce Playr-Fit as the new title sponsor of both the Championship and the Premier Intermediate League.

The exciting three-year deal will see the second and third tier divisions exclusively rebranded as the Playr-Fit Championship and Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League with immediate effect, until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

Based in Newry, the teamwear specialists pride themselves on offering quality, bespoke kits and leisurewear at affordable prices for clubs and their supporters.

Steven Mills, NIFL Chief Operating Officer said, “We’re delighted to welcome Playr-Fit to the NIFL family as title sponsor of our Championship and Premier Intermediate Leagues from next season.

“We’ve made great strides as a league both on and off the pitch in recent years and we’re proud that a such a vibrant and energetic brand as Playr-Fit sees that value and is joining us on our journey for the next three years!”

The new Playr-Fit Championship campaign will kick off on Saturday 5 August, as the battle for promotion into the top-flight will be tougher and more competitive than ever! Recently relegated Portadown will look to bounce back at the first attempt and newly promoted Bangor will also be aiming for back-to-back promotions, as the two new teams to the league.

On Saturday 26 August the newly expanded Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League will commence as fourteen clubs from across the country will compete for the league title and a place in the senior ranks of football in Northern Ireland.

Fixtures for the new Playr-Fit Championship will be revealed on Thursday morning (29 June) at 8am with the schedule for the Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League on Friday morning (30 June).

Last season over 430,000 fans enjoyed matches in the NI Football League across the top three men’s divisions and the Women’s Premiership. With more games and more excitement the 2023/2024 season will be one not to be missed!
