Crusaders moved back into third spot following this defeat of Carrick Rangers at the Loughshore Hotel Arena.
The game got off to a blistering start with two goals early on.
Carrick moved in front after just ten minutes when the ball fell for Daniel Kelly around 25 yards from goal to which he responded with a superb effort beyond Jonny Tuffey into the top corner.
The Crues responded almost immediately after a low cross from the right reached Jamie McGonigle which he duly swept past Aaron Hogg from close range.
Crusaders edged in front for the first time within a few minutes of the break when Chris Hegarty met a Jamie McGonigle corner to beat Hogg from a thumping near post header.
Then, on 56 minutes, Michael Ruddy added a third for the visitors after running onto McGonigle's lay off to smash the ball beyond the Carrick keeper.
