Glenavon claimed the point they needed to book a spot in the European play-offs with a draw at home to Dungannon Swifts.
Gary Hamilton's side got off to a perfect start when, with less than 30 seconds on the clock, Daniel Purkis nipped in to beat Roy Carroll after some poor defending.
Dungannon levelled nine minutes before half-time, however, when Ben Gallagher found the net after a good move initiated by Caolan McAleer.
After the break Glenavon pushed for a second goal with Matthew Fitzpatrick testing Carroll with a low shot while a couple of Andrew Doyle efforts were both kept up by the former international keeper.
Indeed, as the second half progressed, further efforts came through Conor McCloskey and Matthew Snoddy before, late on, Fitzpatrick was again thwarted by Carroll but, in the end, the point was enough for the Lurgan Blues to clinch that play-off visit to Larne on Tuesday evening.
