HW Welders' defender Scott McMillan has been included in the UEFA Regions Cup squad (c) Presseye


Harry McConkey has selected 14 players from the Bluefin Sport Championship and Premier Intermediate League to form his squad for the UEFA Regions Cup next week.

Northern Ireland’s first qualifier will see them take on Portugal (Braga) at Stangmore Park in Dungannon on Thursday 18 October (7.30pm) followed by a clash with FYR Macedonia’s representatives on Sunday 21 October (5.30pm).

On Wednesday 24 October the mini tournament will draw to a close with Northern Ireland v Russia at Mourneview Park in Lurgan (7.30pm).

The winners of eight intermediate round groups will compete in the Regions’ Cup finals next June. The finals will be hosted by one of the qualifiers.
