Armagh City claimed a potentially crucial three points in the battle for a top six post-split spot with this defeat of Sport & Leisure Swifts at Glen Road Heights.

The Eagles leapfrogged the Swifts into that all important sixth spot, level on 27 points, but Sport & Leisure do have a game in hand - albeit against leaders Dundela - before the league separates.

City got off to a blistering start with Stefan McKenna opening the scoring inside the first minute before, on ten minutes, Matthew Hynds added a second with a superbly executed free-kick.

McKenna then extended Armagh's advantage in first half stoppage time while Swifts had to be content with an 82nd minute consolation through Kevin Lynch.
