A goal at either end of the game ensured Moyola Park and Lurgan Celtic emerged from this encounter at Mill Meadow with a point apiece.
The game was just four minutes old when Ben Mitchell speculatively lobbed Celtic keeper Conor Larkin with the ball ending up in the back of the net.
Celtic might have levelled after half-an-hour when skipper Peter McCann delivered the ball across the face of goal but both Kevin McAlinden and Oisin Roper both failed to get the final touch.
And moments after that McCann himself directed a header just the wrong side of the target, shaving the post as it went wide.
Moyola were reduced to ten men just before the break when Daniel McIlhatton was dismissed after collecting two cautions in as many minutes.
Despite their numerical advantage the Hoops failed to regularly trouble Moyola keeper Marcin Farniok although Michael Toland and Aaron Rogers did have efforts on goal.
As the game progressed Larkin was called into action to turn the ball around the post with ten minutes remaining, but just as it looked like Moyola would collect the three points up popped Sean O'Reilly to nod home after getting on the end of a long ball into the box.
