A single goal late in the game at The Dub earned Annagh United victory over morning leaders Queen's University.

On a perfect day for football it was a disappointingly scrappy first period. Annagh started well and from an early corner the ball fell to Jordan Campbell whose shot was saved by Declan Brown.

Queen's were on top for most the first half but didn't create many good chances. The closest they came was when Matt Hughes struck a powerful shot from the edge of the box and keeper Gavin Cusack palmed it wide.

Just before the break Christian Stewart fired a great 30 yarder which struck Brown's crossbar.

After the break, two great chances came the way of Queen's Daniel Hanna. On the first occasion his volley went over the top before a long cross from the right found him at the far post and his close range header across the face of the goal went inches wide.

On 78 minutes Annagh's Gerard Kerr received a second yellow card but three minutes later came the winning goal for the visitors. Queen’s failed to clear from a long throw and the ball fell to Campbell whose shot beat Brown. Queen's pressed in the closing minutes but Annagh held on for the three points.
