Tobermore United's promotion hopes suffered a blow with this narrow defeat to Portstewart at Mullaghacall.

United trail leading duo Annagh United and Queen's University by six points going into the final month of the campaign but with a double header against the Students still to come there is still lots to play for.

Portstewart's winner and only goal of the game came just after the half-hour when Kyle McVey turned the ball into his own net after James Peden had delivered a free-kick into the box.

Portstewart: Findlay, Watt, Steele, Peden, L. Bradley, Hudson, Doherty, Lindsay, McCaughan, Elder, Gillan subs Law (replaced Hudson), Forgrave (not used), Barr (replaced McCaughan 67), J. Bradley (replaced Gillan 65)
