BOTH sides did a good job of cancelling each other out until the visitors went in front on 23 minutes.

Andrew Murnin rose highest to connect with a free kick from Conor McAnallan to steer the ball into the bottom corner giving keeper Damien Nugent no chance.

Leisure equalised from the spot ten minutes later after McAreavey upended Darren Gallagher in the box.

Gallagher dusted himself down and his well placed strike gave keeper Ciaran Fox little chance.

Just before the break Jay Donnan made it 2-1 for the home side when he lobbed Fox after Tony Heagney had put him clear on the left.

Just five minutes after the break and Leisure were down to ten.

Anto Kavanagh adjudged to have shown his studs and it was a straight red.

Leisure shuffled their pack for what was a backs to the wall defensive display as the visitors went all out in an effort to continue their recent fine form, but credit to Leisure they put their bodies in the way when it mattered along with some heroics from man of the match Nugent which saw him deny Celtic at least four times.

While Celtic threw everything at Leisure the home side relied on break - aways and in stoppage time they got that all important third goal.

Kevin Duff played a quick one two with Gerard McCabe before realeasing James Daly and the midfielder continued his run before sliding the ball past Fox to seal the victory.
