Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League club Banbridge Town have announced the appointment of Stuart King as manager for next season.

King succeeds Ronnie Haughey at the County Down club who finished third place in the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League, narrowly missing out on a place in the Championship promotion playoff.

In a statement issued by Banbridge Town, Stuart King stated: “I am delighted to be appointed Banbridge Town manager. My primary aim remains gaining promotion the NIFL Championship and putting the structures in place for the future success of Banbridge Town FC”

The 37-year-old winger has been part of the coaching staff at Crystal Park having previously joined the club as a player in January 2016. He has previously enjoyed spells with Preston North End, Linfield, Ballymena United and Glenavon during his playing career.
