McLELLAN AND HARRIS ON TARGET FOR WELDERS
HW Welders picked up their third win of the campaign to date with victory over Ballinamallard United at Ferney Park.
With the Welders playing away from home at the minute until work on their new Blanchflower Stadium is completed it was an impressive result against a Mallards side undefeated since losing on the opening day of the season.
Michael McLellan edged the Welders in front on 37 minutes from the spot after a first half during which both sides had created chances.
BJ Banda might twice have levelled for the home side around the hour mark, but both efforts were deflected wide.
However, Gary Smyth's visitors made sure of the points on 67 minutes when Craig Harris met a corner from the right to head past keeper Rory Brown.
The home side did grab a late consolation courtesy of a Banda penalty deep into stoppage time.
