Institute and Ballinamallard United battled to a draw at the Brandywell as both sides await their first win of the campaign.
Both goals came in the second half with 'Stute moving in front just before the hour through debutant Matthew Walker's low drilled finish through the legs of keeper Michael Lynch.
But the Mallards levelled seven minutes after that when experienced defender Mark Stafford slid the ball past beyond Gareth Muldoon after running onto Reece Byrne's through ball.
