WELDERS EDGE BRANDYWELL VICTORY
HW Welders strengthened their claims for a top six finish thanks to a narrow defeat of Institute at the Brandywell.
'Stute might have taken the lead after a quarter-of-an-hour after Jack McFeely turned an effort onto the crossbar from a Jamie Dunne cross.
The deadlock was broken early in the second half by what proved to be the only goal of the game when Michael McLellan was on hand to find the net after a low, chipped cross into the box wasn't cleared.
The home side struck the woodwork again in the second half, this time from a Cormac Burke effort while Welders keeper Michael Argyrides was later called into action to scramble a Jamie McCormick effort off the line.
