JORDAN Owens edged Crusaders in front on 18 minutes with a simple header after Declan Caddell had beaten Ryan Brown only to see the ball come back off the crossbar.

The Reds levelled on 33 minutes through Crues old boy Marty Donnelly when he rifled the ball into the roof of the net.

Cliftonville created the majority of chances after the break, keeping Crues 'keeper Sean O'Neill busy.

The former Ballymena United and Dungannon Swifts custodian particularly impressed with a save from Ryan Donnelly which saw him changed direction in mid flight to turn the ball away for a corner.

The Crues were reduced to ten men on 84 minutes when Gareth McKeown picked up a second booking for a foul on Barry Johnston.

And Cliftonville snatched victory right at the end through substitute Joe Gormley - an 85th minute replacement for Rory Donnelly - who fired home the rebound after O'Neill had pushed away a Martin Donnelly effort.
