Crusaders returned to winning ways with a three-goal defeat of Newry City on a wet evening at The Showgrounds.
Scoreless and fairly even at the break, the Crues perhaps came closest to finding a way through in the first half when Paul Heatley saw a late chance cleared off the line.
That changed just four minutes into the second half when Rory Patterson was upended in the box with the Crues striker composing himself to slot home the subsequent spot-kick to open the scoring.
Stephen Baxter's side doubled their advantage on 78 minutes through the first of Paul Heatley's two goals in the game after he pounced on a poor John Boyle backwards header before sending a low effort beyond the reach of keeper Steven Maguire.
Then, three minutes into stoppage time, Heatley completed the scoring to send the Crues into fourth spot.
