CONOR Hagan blasted Glenavon into a third minute lead after he made the most of a defensive mix-up to beat Robert Robinson from the edge of the box.

Celtic might have levelled eight minutes before the break when, following a series of chances, a Darren Murray effort crashed back off an upright while Paul McVeigh saw a shot deflected over.

Hagan hit the post at the other end seven minutes into the second half but within four minutes DC were level after Murray headed home from a Johnny Harkness free-kick taken from the right side of the area.

Glenavon were dealt a further blow on 62 minutes when substitute Cairan Doherty - only on the pitch eight minutes - was dismissed by referee Raymond Crangle for serious foul play.

Then, with seven minutes remaining, Murray sealed the points for Celtic when he was picked out by Eamon McAllister to make the most of some sloppy defending.
