Mark Miskimmin holds court after putting Glenavon two goals up (Picture:

CHRIS Lavery fired Glenavon into the lead on 23 minutes when his free-kick from the right drifted past everyone into the far corner.

The set piece was awarded following a Gavin Taggart foul on Ciaran Doherty for which he was given his second booking of the game. He had been previously cautioned for an eighth minute foul on Cameron Grieve.

Alan Davidson might have doubled Glenavon's lead just before the break when, from a Mark Miskimmin lay-off, he turned the ball against the bar.

It was 2-0 on 65 minutes, though, when Miskimmin ran onto a Ryan Henderson through ball to keep his composure and turn a shot beyond Wayne Drummond.

And just two minutes after that Glenavon added a third courtesy of a Jay Magee penalty following a Chris Rodgers foul on Miskimmin.
