O'SULLIVAN STRIKES IN STOPPAGE TIME AS POINT CONTINUE RUN

Warrenpoint Town stretched their unbeaten league run to five games with a late winner against Ards at the Q Radio Arena.

Philip Donnelly created the first effort of note when he fired the wrong side of the target after collecting a Ciaran O'Connor pass.

Donnelly then turned provider to tee up Robbie Norton at the back post only for his subsequent shot to flash across the face of goal.

'Point continued to push for an opening with Simon Kelly volleyed over from inside the area while, right at the end of the first half, Eamonn Scannell produced a save from Sam Johnston which the Ards keeper did well to tip over.

After the break O'Connor found Mark Griffin on the edge of the six yard box but his shot was blocked while Matthew Lynch saw his rebound deflected wide.

For Ards Mark Kelly had a good opportunity after being played clear on the edge of the area but could only drag the ball wide.

But there was late drama. O'Connor brought the ball into the area down the left and following a couple of blocked chances O'Sullivan was on hand to stab home a stoppage time winner for Warrenpoint.
