Crusaders moved up to second in the table after a comfortable home defeat of bottom of the table Warrenpoint Town.

Jordan Owens opened the scoring for the Crues with a header from a Diarmuid O'Carroll cross from the left.

'Point might have levelled soon after after Stephen Hughes picked Jonathan Breen out but he couldn't convert his close range effort.

Then, moments after that, Owens almost added a second for the Crues only to strike the post from a Billy Joe Burns through ball.

The visitors had another chance after the goal, this time from Stephen McCabe but he could only fire wide from a Darren King cross.

But the Crues doubled their advantage midway through the second half when O'Carroll followed up after Owens was twice denied by Martin Marron.

And five minutes later Owens added a third with a thumping drive from the edge of the area.
