Institute picked their first point of the season with this scoreless draw away to Coleraine.
They might have fallen behind inside the opening minute when Coleraine's Ben Doherty unleashed a tremendous shot from 25 yards which flashed just wide of the target while, soon after, Aaron Canning saw a header cleared off the line by Brendan McLaughlin.
'Stute began to come into the game more as the first half progressed. Conor Tourish headed over from a corner on 19 minutes with Gareth Brown then being denied on the half volley after spotting Chris Johns off his line.
Coleraine were reduced to ten men just before the break following Eoin Bradley's dismissal for an incident with Thomas McBride - and 'Stute almost made their extra man count moments later but Joe McCready could only head over from a free-kick.
The sides traded chances just before the hour. Raymond Foy sent a half volley just wide from the edge of the box followed quickly by a scrambled clearance from Canning's header at the other end.
Then Institute keeper Paul Wells produced a great save to tip a Doherty effort from outside the box over with the visitors responding down the other end with Tourish sending a header narrowly wide.
But perhaps the closest chance of the game came midway through the second half when Jamie Glackin released Doherty with his arrowed strike from the edge of the box cannoning back off the post.
