Dean Watters grabbed a stoppage equaliser for Warrenpoint Town in the 'Mourne Ultimatum' with Newry City at the Q Radio Arena.
Mark McCabe might have opened the scoring for the visitors after 25 minutes when he found himself through on goal one-on-one with keeper Aaron McCarey only to send the ball onto an upright.
However, he did go one better five minutes from the break after bursting through the defence and being the afforded the time and space to pick his spot.
'Point levelled just three minutes after that through Danny Wallace who connected with Philip Donnelly's corner from the left to send a volley beyond the reach of Steven Maguire.
City regained the advantage eight minutes into the second half. Anton Reilly was adjudged to have brought down McCabe inside the box, collecting his second caution in the process. Dale Montgomery then stepped up to assuredly tuck away the resultant spot-kick.
Warrenpoint were reduced to ten men themselves on 79 minutes when Darren King was booked twice in three minutes for unsporting behaviour.
But, three minutes into added time, substitute Watters popped up to touch the ball over the line to earn Stephen McDonnell's side a share of the spoils in front of the big derby day crowd.
