Three of the NI Football League's brightest young stars played some part in Northern Ireland U21s draw with Finland this evening in the UEFA European Championship qualifiers.

Ian Baraclough's side drew 1-1 in Oulu, their second draw of the campaign following on from last week's scoreless stalemate with Malta in Ballymena.

Of the trio Ballymena United's Kofi Balmer played the full 90 minutes, just as he did on Friday at The Showgrounds.

Portadown's Callum Ferris came off the bench with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining for Dunfermline Athletic's Lewis McCann. It has been quite a few days for the 18-year-old following on from his U19 exploits against the Faroe Islands last week which saw him bag two goals in a 4-0 win at Stangmore Park.

In addition, Glenavon's Caolan Marron was a stoppage time substitute for his former Mourneview Park team-mate Bobby Burns while Glentoran's Christopher Gallagher was an unused substitute.
