The JBE League Cup reaches its Semi-Final stage on Tuesday night with Cliftonville aiming to retain the trophy for the fourth season running.

Warrenpoint Town welcome holders Cliftonville to Milltown with a coveted place in the Final up for grabs.  Point, who despite their poor league form, have looked a different side in this competition having won away at in-form Institute in the Quarter-Final to add to their 2-1 win away to Portadown in the previous round.

Cliftonville have not lost in the League Cup since the Semi-Final in 2011, and have only been beaten once in all competitions since September, so go into this game full of confidence.

The last five meetings between the Point and the Reds have resulted in two Cliftonville wins and three draws, with two of these draws coming at Milltown.  In August, Cliftonville salvaged a point thanks to a Caoimhin Bonner equaliser, while last season Joe Gormley struck in the 90th minute to grab a 1-1 draw.

Championship side Ards host Premiership Coleraine at the Bangor Fuels Arena as they aim to make their first Final in over 10 years.  Ards overcame Ballinamallard Utd in the last round thanks to a penalty shootout, and this is bound to fill them with confidence as they face top-flight opposition once more.  Niall Currie’s side have won their last three games in all competitions.

Coleraine have been on a tremendous run of late losing just twice in 15 games. A convincing 2-1 derby win over Ballymena Utd in the Quarter-Final added to their penalty-shootout victory against the Welders and a 3-1 win at home to Ballyclare Comrades in Round 2.

Striker James McLaughlin has scored in every round so far netting five times in three games.
