The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership continues on Wednesday night with the fourth round of action.

After last season’s shortened campaign due to the pandemic, this season sees a full restoration with each of the sides in the top-flight playing each other four times.

All six sides are in action tonight with the pick of the bunch seeing league leaders Cliftonville Ladies play host to champions Glentoran Women.

Derry City Women won their first match of the season against Sion Swifts Ladies last week but now must travel to Linfield Ladies in another huge challenge.

Sion Swifts and Crusaders Strikers will both be looking to bounce back from disappointing derby defeats last week as they clash at Melvin Sports Complex.

Cliftonville Ladies v Glentoran Women
Cliftonville are the only side remaining with a 100 percent record having recorded victories over Derry City, Linfield and Crusaders.

Glentoran stumbled to a 1-1 draw at Linfield last week and now face another huge challenge against the early league leaders.

The Reds have not won any of their last nine clashes against the Glens - a run stretching back to August 2018 and will have to be on top form to maintain their perfect start to the season.

Linfield Ladies v Derry City Women
Linfield have taken four points from their opening three fixtures but will be looking to get back to winning ways as they host Derry City at Midgely Park.

The Candystripes won their first top-flight match in almost two years last week as they downed Sion Swifts 1-0 but have lost all 11 matches against the Blues - with all 75 goals in those games going to Linfield.

This clash is likely to be much tighter and whilst the hosts will be strong favourites, they will go up against a side full of self-belief.

Sion Swifts Ladies v Crusaders Strikers
Both these teams suffered disappointing 1-0 derby losses last week and will be keen to kickstart their seasons.

Sion Swifts are so far without a goal or a point but have an incredibly strong home record at Melvin - the recent loss there against Glentoran was the first in three seasons.

Games between these two sides are usually tight - the Strikers took four points from the two meetings last season but Sion had won five on the bounce before that, with four of the last 10 clashes ending in stalemates.

Please note that due to current Covid-19 regulations all games are required to be played behind closed doors. No spectators are permitted to attend.
