Ten Danske Bank Women’s Premiership stars were involved as Northern Ireland lost out to England in front of a 15,348-strong crowd at Windsor Park.

Lauren Hemp and Georgia Stanway both scored twice as England won comfortably with Ella Toone also on target for the Lionesses.

Cliftonville trio Marissa Callaghan, Kelsie Burrows and Abbie Magee were among six Danske Bank Women’s Premiership players to start with Crusaders defender Julie Nelson also involved alongside Glentoran duo Lauren Wade and Joely Andrews – who netted in the defeat to Austria on Friday.

Glens players Chloe McCarron, Caragh Hamilton and Nadene Caldwell all come on as second half substitutes alongside Cliftonville star Kirsty McGuinness.

The defeat was a blow for Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualification hopes, who will conclude their campaign with matches away to Luxembourg and Latvia in September.
