Crusaders exited the UEFA Europa Conference League despite earning a draw at home to Swiss opponents FC Basel.

Stephen Baxter's side had trailed by two goals from the first leg last week, but unfortunately this 1-1 draw at Seaview wasn't enough to see them through to the next round.

The visitors opened the scoring on 36 minutes through Canadian international Liam Millar after he cut inside from the left before finishing beyond Jonathan Tuffey's reach.

The Crues had opportunities to level through Paul Heatley and Jordan Forsythe before eventually making the breakthrough on 53 minutes courtesy of Billy Joe Burns' touch past Marwin Hitz.

Both sides might have added to their tally in the latter stages of the game with the Crues coming closest with Johnny McMurray pounced on a defensive error only to see keeper Hitz deal with the danger.
