Northern Ireland U21 international Daniel Finlayson will spend the forthcoming campaign with defending champions Linfield.

The right back arrives at Windsor Park on a season long loan from Scottish Premiership side St. Mirren, although he did spend the 2021/22 campaign loaned out to Kielty Hearts as they swept to the League Two title.

Prior to that he spent time in the USA with Orange County after kicking off his career as a youth at Rangers.

Although Scottish, he qualifies for Northern Ireland via a grandparent.

Blues boss David Healy is looking forward to Finlayson's arrival at the club. He told the official website: "He's a quality player who I know our supporters will give a warm welcome to the club and I am confident that Daniel can strengthen our squad and make a positive impact and contribution over the duration of his loan stay with us."
