David McDaid has made the switch to Ballymena United from Larne on a three-year contract.

The 31-year-old striker has spent the majority of the last five seasons at Inver Park during which time he played an integral role in the east Antrim side claiming the NIFL Championship, two County Antrim Shield victories and their first appearance in Europe.

His career has also taken him to Cliftonville, Coleraine, Derry City, Waterford and York City amongst others.

Sky Blues boss David Jeffrey was pleased to get the signing over the line; "It goes without saying that we are absolutely delighted to secure the services of a player of David's calibre for the next three years.

"We don't need to go on about what he has achieved and why we were interested in signing him, his statistics speak for themselves and we and our supporters are only too aware of the quality we have signed. "
