Larne have been paired with Finnish side HJK Helinksi in the First Qualifying Round of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions' League.

Tiernan Lynch's side will be away in the first leg, to be played on either 11th or 12th July, before hosting HJK at Solitude in the return the following week. Exact dates and kick-off times for both games have yet to be confirmed.

This will, of course, be Larne's maiden appearance in Europe's premier competition but they have been regulars on the continental stage in recent seasons.

HJK have claimed the local Veikkausliiga a record 32 times, and currently sit third after 13 games on the current campaign.

This will be their third trip to these shores over the years, both in the Champions League.

In 2003-04 they defeated Glentoran 1-0 on aggregate, narrowly winning in Finland and securing a scoreless draw at The Oval. Then, a year later, they beat Linfield by a similar 1-0 scoreline in both legs.

Last season they exited the Champions League at the Second Qualifying Round stage but did go on to reach the group stages of the Europa League.
