Women's Premiership League Cup

01 Jun 2023

The draw has been made for the opening rounds of the NIFL Women’s Premiership League Cup later this month!

Last season Sion Swifts Ladies created history by winning the cup for the first time after Cora Chambers scored two goals in stoppage time against Cliftonville Ladies at the Blanchflower Stadium.

With ten clubs now starring in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership, the expanded competition will see ten clubs vying for silverware this summer.

The Preliminary round of the Women’s Premiership League Cup will include the five teams not participating in the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup competition and is scheduled for Friday 16 June.

The five participating All-Island Cup teams will enter at the quarter-final stage the following week.
