It’s tight at the top of the Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League as only one point separates the top three sides.

Only one of the leading trio actually picked up any points, but it was a much better afternoon for those at the other end of the table after the bottom three all won.

The game of the day pitted third against first as Armagh City ran out 2-1 winners over Limavady United at Holm Park.

The Eagles moved in front through Noeem Oladunjoye midway through the first half, but the Roesiders levelled courtesy of Alex Pomeroy’s spot-kick after the break.

However Conor Mullen popped up later in the game to grab the win for Shea Campbell’s side.

Rathfriland Rangers failed to take the chance to return to the summit after they went down 2-1 away to Moyola Park.

Peter Duffin fired Kenny Shiels’ side in front with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock, a lead they held until the 72nd minute when Jesse Carson hit back for the visitors before Caiolan Brennan bagged what proved to be the winner four minutes from time.

Ballymacash Rangers breathed life into their hopes with a 3-1 victory over Queen’s University at the Bluebell Stadium.

Scoreless at the break, Aaron Duke hit two after the hour for ‘Cash with Owen McKeown following up with eight minutes remaining with Matthew Hughes clawing one back for the Students not long after that.

Bottom of the table PSNI swept to a comprehensive three-goal defeat of Lisburn Distillery at The Dub thanks to Henry Capper’s double and another strike from Alex Silva Machado.

And Tobermore United got the better of Portstewart by the odd goal in three at Mullaghacall with efforts from Daniel McIlhatton and Gary Keane before John Watt hit a late consolation for the Seahawks.

Elsewhere, Daniel Gordon, Gary Liggett and Harry Norton all found the net as Dollingstown swept past Warrenpoint Town 3-1 while Coagh United and Banbridge Town battled to a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Hagan Park.
