Linfield made it two wins from two with victory over Ballymena United in the evening kick-off at The Showgrounds.
Ballymena almost raced into the lead on seven minutes when Ciaran Kelly was denied on the line after meeting a corner.
However, just two minutes after that, Linfield edged in front through Kirk Millar with a finish into the bottom corner which gave Ross Glendinning no chance.
It was almost 2-0 a few minutes after that courtesy of a curling 25-yard Navid Nasseri effort only for the ball to strike the crossbar.
But Nasseri wasn't to be denied on 37 minutes. Again, it was tremendous effort which bent on its way past Glendinning into the top corner.
Ballymena pulled a goal back soon after, though, when Paul McElroy converted from the spot following Jamie Mulgrew's foul on Shay McCartan inside the area.
Then, ten minutes after the break, Linfield knocked home their third with Jordan Stewart getting to the back post to nod home Millar's cross.
That was how it stayed when Leroy Millar headed home Ballymena's second with literally the last touch of the game deep into added time.
