Glentoran moved into third spot in the table after coming from behind to defeat Warrenpoint Town at Milltown.
There were no goals at the break although Glentoran did come close to breaking the deadlock on a couple of occasions.
Jay Donnelly had the ball in the net on 19 minutes but his strike was ruled out offside while, just after the half-hour mark, he was denied by a goalline clearance after taking the ball round Gabriel Sava.
But the deadlock was broken on 54 minutes in Warrenpoint's favour when Adam Carroll made the most of a mistake by Rory Brown to slot the ball home into an empty net.
It proved to be a short lived lead, however, when Conor McMenamin levelled for the Glens just a couple of minutes later from the spot after Danny Wallace had been penalised for bringing down Rhys Marshall.
Glentoran's winner came eight minutes from time with Jay Donnelly finally getting on the scoresheet after he rose highest to turn home Marcus Kane's cross.
