Reigning Women's Premiership League Cup holders Linfield were eliminated by Sion Swifts Ladies in the competition's quarter-finals on Monday night.
Chloe McGlade netted the opener for the Strabane-based side in the fourth minute at Midgely Park after a goalmouth scamble with Aimee Mackin doubling the lead midway through the half.
Linfield piled on the pressure in the second half but were thwarted by a fine defensive performance from the visitors and a string of excellent saves from Jamaica international goalkeeper Nicole McClure.
Megan Bell found the net for the Blues in stoppage time but it wasn't enough to save the holders from defeat against opponents whom they defeated 1-0 on the opening day of the league campaign a fortnight ago.
Sion welcomed back Mackin and Amy Carr to their starting line up while for Linfield, Caitlin McGuinness replaced Louise McFrederick.
It was Carr who combined with McGlade for the opener after a scramble and indecision in Linfield defence. The game had a ferocious pace with Bell hitting the crossbar and Magee shaving the post.
Mackin put Sion further ahead in the 25th minute - a cheeky corner carried into the box and driven home.
Linfield did pull one back in injury time when Bell scrambled home from close range but Sion Swifts were deserving of their win on the night.
