SCORELESS AT FERNEY PARK
Ballinamallard United kicked the Tommy Canning era off with a scoreless draw at home to league leaders Dundela.
After a quiet start, the visitors could have gone in front around the half-hour mark when Andy Hall was unable to beat keeper Jack Le-moignan with a free header from eight yards out.
Aaron Arkinson crafted Ballinamallard's best effort of the first half seven minutes from the break when he went through one-on-one with keeper Lewis Hunter only for the Duns custodian to make the save.
After the break Josh McIlwaine saw a header cleared off the line whilst, on the hour, Hall headed over from close range.
Then, later in the game, Jordan Jenkins perhaps came closest of all only to clip the crossbar from an Anto Burns free-kick.
