Davy McDaid hit a spot-kick double as Larne got the better of Cliftonville at Solitude.
Larne created a couple of early chances with John Herron drifting a free-kick just wide after a couple of minutes followed quickly by Dylan Mottley-Henry flashing an effort across the face of goal from a tight angle.
Jeff Hughes later directed a header off target from Martin Donnelly's right-sided corner while, at the other end, Josh Robinson cleared an Aaron Donnelly delivery just as Ryan O'Reilly looked poised to pounce.
Further chances for Larne followed before, on 43 minutes, they finally moved in front when Ryan Curran was adjudged to have handled a Donnelly free-kick with David McDaid stepping up to convert from the spot.
Cliftonville levelled nine minutes into the second through Barry Coffey. Awarded a free-kick following a foul on Daire O'Connor, Coffey curled his 20-yard effort past Conor Mitchell and in off the inside of the upright.
But Larne hit back just a few minutes later with what proved to be the match winner. Daniel Kearns was ruled to have brought down Mottley-Henry in the box and, once again, McDaid was on hand to knock home his second penalty of the evening.
The visitors pushed on after that in pursuit of a third goal but despite Mottley-Henry coming close on a couple of occasions and Donnelly coming close right at the end they couldn't quite manage to extend their lead.
